Scotland will go into Saturday’s crucial World Cup Pool C match against Italy with the same team which beat Romania two games ago.
Head coach Frank Hadden made 13 personnel changes to his side for last Sunday’s Murrayfield clash with New Zealand, but all those players who were rested for the All Blacks battle return to action this weekend, with Jason White regaining the captaincy.
Scotland will reach the quarter-finals if they defeat the Italians, and Hadden said: “We are happy with where we are at present. We expect the side selected for Saturday to step up a gear and make the bold statement that we want to make at this World Cup.”
The Azzurri posted a stunning victory at Murrayfield in the RBS 6 Nations in February, but their form has dipped recently.
