O’Sullivan warning for French
Eddie O’Sullivan has warned France they may suffer the consequences of a series of astonishing attacks made by the French media.
Allegations concerning Ronan O’Gara and a character assassination of O’Sullivan appeared in the French press this week, infuriating the Irish.
Speaking ahead of tonight’s clash with France, which will make or break both teams’ World Cup campaign, O’Sullivan said: “It was a disgrace that has angered people more than upset them. It might be a good thing at the end of the day because we are in the lion’s den a little bit.”
The Irish have closed ranks around O’Gara, with skipper Brian O’Driscoll declaring the insult had been taken “personally” by the whole team.
