Tiesi out for Argentina
Argentina centre Gonzalo Tiesi has been ruled out of the World Cup bronze-medal match against France on Friday due to injury.
Head coach Marcelo Loffreda had named Tiesi to replace Manuel Contepomi for the clash in Paris but the London Irish star has since picked up a knee injury in training. Contepomi will now resume his place alongside brother Felipe at centre.
“Tiesi has suffered an injury to the meniscus of his right knee and will be unable to play the Test between the Pumas and France on Friday,” read a statement by the Argentinian Rugby Union.
